With the beginning of the year 2023, Ponentia Logistics, S.A. starts the commercialisation of plots of land on the new intermodal logistics platform which is being promoted in the region of La Litera (Huesca) bordering Catalonia. As a large platform, it proposes the development of large-scale plots of land, ranging in size from 20.000m2 and the 200.000m2The land is in demand in the territory, marketable for industrial and logistical uses.
Its geostrategic location, between exits 22 and 27 of the A-22 motorway, close and highly accessible to Spain's main freight corridors such as the A-22 and the A-22. Mediterranean Corridor and the Central Corridor. It is also close to other logistics hubs such as the Zaragoza area, Barcelona (Baix Llobregat) and the ports of Barcelona, Tarragona and Bilbao. In some of these areas, the availability of land is scarce and, in any case, at unaffordable prices, which adds a competitiveness of great added value to this location.
It is planned as a state-of-the-art industrial and logistics area with the use of various spaces for the generation of clean energies and with the clear objective of being an emission-neutral infrastructure. On this basis, work is being carried out to create a clean energy generating industrial estate for self-consumption.
The implementation of renewable and clean energies on the platform promotes a strategy of sustainability by reducing the environmental impact of industrial activity, through the self-sufficiency and the self-generation of energy through natural, continuous and inexhaustible sources.
SERVICE AREA AND RAILWAY TERMINAL:
A service area It will be equipped with the necessary facilities related to logistics, with special emphasis on its sustainability. There will be guarded parking for lorries, hotel and restaurant services, refuelling areas for clean energy vehicles (electricity, hydrogen), service areas for heavy vehicles, rest and sports areas, etc.
It is foreseen that buildings will be equipped with generators for clean energiesThe extension and typology of the land makes it ideal for the installation of photovoltaic modules that allow the use of sunlight.
The land is perfectly suited for the development of a railway terminal high-capacity. Occupying a surface area of some 17 hectares, it allows the construction of the railway installations suitable with a 5-track reception beam, siding for convoys, tracks for simultaneous loading of up to 4 trains, shunting shafts, heavy vehicle entry/exit facilities, customs, logistics area for containers and rail services area.
Beyond the clear positive effect of the transformation The terminal is planned with a clear strategy of sustainability, powered by renewable energies, with no impact on the climate and the atmosphere, contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint.
