Ponentia Logistics, Ltd. is commencing the sale of plots in the Industrial and Logistics Park it is promoting between Aragon and Catalonia.

Ponentia Logistics, S.A. consolidates the development of a site for an industrial and logistics area associated with an intermodal rail terminal in the region of La Litera, next to the A-22 highway.

With the start of 2023, Ponentia Logistics, S.A. is initiating the sale of plots in the new intermodal logistics platform it is promoting in the region of La Litera (Huesca), bordering Catalonia As a large-scale platform, it plans to arrange large-sized plots ranging from 20.000m2 to 200.000m2as there is demand for such areas in the territory, which can be used for industrial and logistics purposes.

Its geostrategic location, between exits 22 and 27 of the A-22 highway, is close and highly accessible to Spain's main freight corridors, such as the Mediterranean Corridor and the Central Corridor. It also stands out for its proximity to other logistic activity hubs such as the Zaragoza area, Barcelona (Baix Llobregat), and the ports of Barcelona, Tarragona, and Bilbao. In some of these areas, land availability is scarce and, in any case, at unaffordable prices, which adds a highly valuable competitiveness to this location.

It is projected as a state-of-the-art industrial and logistics zone with the utilization of various spaces for the generation of clean energy and with the clear objective of being an emissions-neutral infrastructure. Work is underway to create an industrial park that generates clean energy for self-consumption.

The implementation of renewable and clean energy sources in the platform promotes a sustainability strategy by reducing the environmental impact of industrial activity through self-sufficiency and self-generation of energy from natural, continuous, and inexhaustible sources.

SERVICE AREA AND RAILWAY TERMINAL:

A service area will be installed with the necessary logistics-related facilities, with a particular emphasis on sustainability. There will be guarded truck parking, hotel and restaurant services, refueling zones for clean energy vehicles (electricity, hydrogen), service areas for heavy vehicles, rest areas, and areas for sports activities, etc.

It is expected that the buildings will be equipped with clean energy generators, taking advantage of their size and typology, which make them suitable for the installation of photovoltaic modules that harness solar energy.

The land allows for the development of a high-capacity terminal railway. Occupying an area of around 17 hectares, it allows for the construction of suitable railway facilities with a reception yard of 5 tracks, a siding for convoys, tracks for simultaneous loading of up to 4 trains, a marshalling yard, entrance/exit facilities for heavy vehicles, customs, a container logistics area, and railway service facilities.

Beyond the clear positive effect of transforming transportation by substituting traditional road transport with rail transport, the terminal is designed with a clear sustainability strategy driven by renewable energy, with no impact on the climate and atmosphere, contributing to the reduction of carbon footprint.
