75% of the routes from our railway terminal are planned to be fully electrified. According to various studies, for every ton of goods transported per kilometre, a truck emits approximately 128 grams of CO2, while a train emits 15 grams.
Rail transport is the most sustainable solution for transporting goods. Based on our data and estimates, the Ponentia railway terminal, which will cover over 13 million km per year, will help save 1475 tons of CO2 emissions annually, thus committing ourselves to the environment.
The transition from trucks to trains is gaining momentum and will become more common in the coming years. Investments in the locomotive industry are expected to provide cheaper and more flexible transportation options for each part of the supply chain.
