THE PONENTIA INDUSTRIAL AND LOGISTICS PLATFORM BECOMES A NEW MEMBER OF FERRMED.

PONENTIA LOGISTICS S.A. y FERRMED will jointly collaborate in the enhancement of rail freight transport and the growth of business relations in all its facets, to create a better optimisation of the entire logistics chain, considering: adequate intermodality, cost reduction, quality increase, environmental friendliness, adequate transit times and improvement of management procedures in the transport system, within the framework of 5G and the Circular Economy.

The not-for-profit multi-sectoral association FERRMED was founded by the private sector in Brussels on 5 August 2004 with the aim of improving rail freight transport and industrial competitiveness in Europe and neighbouring countries.

The aim of this platform is to promote exchange and cooperation between the major logistics and industrial hubs as part of an initiative to significantly improve the connectivity and efficiency of rail and multimodal freight transport between the Iberian Peninsula and the European Union. Companies, research and development centres and railway and logistics operators are invited to participate in this operation, which will be supported by the Multisectorial Working Groups of FERRMED.
