identified a potential demand for unaccompanied trailer transport by rail (<em>ferroutage<\/em>) between Spain and various European destinations. Specifically, expeditions are being planned from the new <strong>PONENTIA<\/strong> eterminal in Tamarite de Litera, as well as the terminals in <em>Calais<\/em> (in the north of France) and <em>Rungis <\/em>(in the Paris area of France). Additionally, contact is being made with other European terminals to accommodate transit based on the identified needs.<\/p>\n<p>These rail transport services would be <strong>MULTICLIENT<\/strong> AND <strong>MULTIPRODUCT<\/strong>as they cater to the requirements of different intermodal transport units (dry cargo containers, various sizes of tank containers, swap bodies, semitrailers, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Given this new scenario, <strong>PONENTIA<\/strong> and <strong>CAPTRAIN<\/strong> present this <strong>Rail Highway<\/strong> project in order to meet the needs of current and potential customers of rail transport services. Therefore, they request <strong>ADIF<\/strong> s inclusion in the analysis of gauge compatibility on the<strong>General Interest Rail Network<\/strong>. Specifically, the Tamarite de Litera-Cerbere and Tamarite de Litera-Hendaye sections.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, <strong>CAPTRAIN SPAIN<\/strong> already operates several daily intermodal and rail highway connections in Spain, connecting with the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PONENTIA<\/strong> will construct an industrial and logistics platform associated with the operation of an intermodal and semitrailer rail terminal in Tamarite de Litera.
